New hope for advanced breast cancer patients with brain metastases: Triple-Drug trial launches

Summary
This study tests whether a combination of two oral drugs (tucatinib and capecitabine) plus a chemotherapy given directly into the spinal fluid (intrathecal trastuzumab) can help people with HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to the lining of the brain and spinal cord. About 30 adults with this condition will receive the treatment. The main goal is to see how many are still alive after 12 months.
