Three-Dose radiation shows promise for Low-Risk breast cancer

NCT ID NCT03612648

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to give radiation to people with early-stage, low-risk breast cancer. Instead of many sessions, only three doses were given directly to the tumor area. The goal was to see if this shorter treatment is safe and works well. 77 participants completed the study, and the approach was well-tolerated with low side effects and a low chance of cancer coming back in the same breast.
