Three-Dose radiation could revolutionize early breast cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT03612648
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to give radiation to people with low-risk, early-stage breast cancer after they had a lumpectomy. Instead of many sessions, it uses just three doses aimed only at the tumor area. The goal was to see if this shorter treatment is safe and well-tolerated, with fewer side effects. 77 participants were enrolled to check for serious side effects and cancer recurrence.
