First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study involved 440 daily smokers and dual users (smokers who also vape) from the US, Canada, and England. Researchers used a simulated online marketplace to see how changing the price of cigarettes and offering discounts on e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches, or heated tobacco products affected what people chose to buy. The goal was to understand which products might replace cigarettes when prices change.
