Heat attack on liver tumors: new combo therapy trial launches
NCT ID NCT07596134
First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding a heat-based therapy (multimodal thermal therapy) to standard targeted therapy and immunotherapy can help people with advanced liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. About 166 adults aged 18-80 with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma will be randomly assigned to receive either the combination or standard drugs alone. The main goal is to see if the combination delays cancer growth or improves survival.
