Sound waves could predict stroke recovery after clot removal

NCT ID NCT07013396

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looks at 100 adults who had a stroke caused by a large blood clot in the front part of the brain and underwent a procedure to remove it. Researchers will use a special ultrasound (transcranial Doppler) to measure blood flow in the brain after the procedure. The goal is to see if these measurements can help predict how well patients recover and whether they have complications like bleeding or worsening symptoms.
