First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study used a special 3D camera system (stereophotogrammetry) to take pictures of the torso in people with scoliosis, chest wall deformities, obesity, and healthy volunteers. The goal was to improve the imaging technique and learn more about how body shape differs across these groups. About 199 participants aged 2 and older had their torso photographed without any radiation, and some returned yearly for up to 5 years to track changes.
