Quick-Fix light therapy may cut pain without sacrificing results
NCT ID NCT06027619
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether shorter incubation times for a topical gel used in photodynamic therapy (PDT) could reduce pain while still effectively clearing actinic keratoses (precancerous skin spots) on the face. Thirty participants were randomly assigned to have the gel on for 10, 20, or 60 minutes before red light treatment. The goal was to find a less painful option that works just as well.
