Veterans' skin cancer risk may be cut by simple clinic procedures

Summary
This study tests whether two skin treatments—microneedling and a chemical peel—can reduce the number of precancerous spots and skin cancers in older veterans. About 96 veterans aged 60 and older with fair skin and multiple precancerous spots will receive one treatment on one arm, while the other arm goes untreated for comparison. Researchers will track new skin cancers and precancers over time to see if these procedures help prevent them.
