First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 12-session group therapy called sensorimotor psychotherapy (SP) helps people with personality disorders and early childhood trauma better regulate their emotions. SP focuses on body awareness and physical techniques, unlike standard talk therapies. About 131 adults in the Netherlands will be randomly assigned to SP or usual care, and researchers will measure changes in emotion regulation, body awareness, PTSD symptoms, and personality functioning.
