Brain zaps + writing therapy: new hope for veterans with PTSD?

NCT ID NCT05149534

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a non-invasive brain stimulation technique (rTMS) to a short writing therapy helps veterans with PTSD feel better. About 98 veterans will receive either real or fake rTMS before their therapy sessions. The goal is to see if the combination reduces PTSD symptoms more than therapy alone.
