First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether progressive relaxation exercises (a method of tensing and relaxing muscles) could help first-year nursing students feel less stressed and more resilient before starting clinical practice. 80 students were split into two groups: one did eight relaxation sessions over four weeks, the other did not. Researchers measured stress, psychological resilience, and sense of meaning in life using standard questionnaires.
