Relaxation exercises slash stress in nursing students
NCT ID NCT06870669
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether progressive relaxation exercises (a technique of tensing and relaxing muscles) could help first-year nursing students feel less stressed, more resilient, and find more meaning in life before starting clinical practice. 80 students were split into two groups: one did eight relaxation sessions over four weeks, the other did not. The study measured stress, resilience, and life meaning using questionnaires. The goal was to see if this simple, drug-free approach could improve students' mental well-being.
