First seen Dec 17, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether Pycnogenol, a natural extract from French maritime pine bark, can reduce symptoms of Gulf War Illness (GWI) like fatigue, pain, and brain fog. Researchers think GWI involves inflammation, and this botanical may help. Twenty male veterans who meet GWI criteria will take Pycnogenol and report changes in physical and mental functioning over 12 months.
