NCT ID NCT03615014

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aimed to find factors that can predict whether someone will develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after a traumatic event like a serious injury or violence. Researchers followed 460 adults who came to the emergency room within a month of trauma and were at moderate or high risk for PTSD. They used questionnaires to check for PTSD three months later, hoping to improve early identification and care.
