Summary
This study looks at whether a single 25 mg dose of psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) can be safely given to people with cocaine use disorder who want to quit. Ten adults from Los Angeles will take the drug in a comfortable room with two clinicians present, and their heart rate, blood pressure, and mood will be checked hourly. The goal is to see if psilocybin is safe enough to study further as a possible treatment for cocaine addiction.
