Could less be more? new trial pauses prostate cancer therapy after 5 doses

NCT ID NCT06200103

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether men with advanced prostate cancer that has spread can safely stop a targeted radiation drug (Lu-177 PSMA-617) after 5 cycles instead of the usual 6. About 236 participants will be randomly assigned to either a treatment pause or continuous therapy. The goal is to see if the shorter plan controls the cancer just as well while reducing side effects and treatment burden.
