New video tool aims to stop PTSD and drug use in injured teens

Summary
This study is testing two short videos designed to help teens and their parents cope after a traumatic injury. The goal is to prevent posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use. About 92 teens aged 12-17 and their parents will watch the videos and complete surveys over three months. Researchers want to see if the videos are helpful, easy to use, and could be adopted by trauma centers nationwide.
