Summary
This study is testing video programs designed to prevent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use problems in teenagers who have been seriously injured. Researchers are working with 62 parent-teen pairs at a pediatric trauma center to develop and test these educational videos. The goal is to provide mental health support during and after hospital stays to help teens recover emotionally from traumatic events.
