First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some people develop type 2 diabetes by looking at genetic and lifestyle factors. About 1,759 overweight adults aged 18-55 took part in tests measuring how their bodies handle sugar and store energy. The goal was to find genetic markers and early warning signs, not to test a new treatment.
