New bedside X-Ray movies could spot lung problems faster in ICU patients

NCT ID NCT06538376

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests a new portable chest X-ray machine that takes moving images (15 frames per second) at the bedside in the ICU. Researchers want to see if it gives clearer pictures of lung motion, airflow, and blood flow compared to standard X-rays and CT scans. About 230 adults with various lung conditions will get 1-3 sets of these moving X-rays to check if the technology is safe and more accurate for diagnosing problems like pneumonia, fluid in the lungs, or diaphragm issues.
