New PET tracer aims to spot hidden cancers with precision

NCT ID NCT07552467

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026

Summary

This study is testing a new radioactive dye for PET scans that targets a protein called LRRC15, found on many aggressive tumors like pancreatic, breast, lung, and brain cancers. About 26 people with suspected or confirmed cancer, plus some healthy volunteers, will receive the dye and undergo imaging. The goal is to see if this scan can more accurately find and stage tumors compared to standard methods, helping doctors make better treatment decisions.
