First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at how gut bacteria and early-life factors like diet and birth method influence three inflammatory diseases in children: juvenile idiopathic arthritis, type 1 diabetes, and inflammatory bowel disease. Researchers compared newly diagnosed children with their healthy siblings to find differences in gut microbes. The study was terminated early with only 4 participants, so results are limited.
