First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested three different pain-relief methods in 75 children aged 2 to 7 having hernia surgery. The goal was to see which approach—a back muscle block, a tailbone block, or local numbing—provided the best pain control after surgery. Researchers measured pain scores and how much extra pain medicine was needed.
