New bone graft could improve spinal fusion success
NCT ID NCT03438747
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new bone graft material (P-15L) works as well as the standard bone graft for spinal fusion surgery in people with degenerative disc disease. About 290 adults aged 22-80 with back and leg pain will be enrolled. The goal is to see if the new graft helps bones fuse together safely and effectively, especially in high-risk patients like smokers or those with diabetes.
