Summary
This early-phase study tested whether an ozonated sunflower seed oil gel could improve gum disease treatment when used alongside standard deep cleaning. Sixty adults with stage II periodontitis were divided into groups receiving either cleaning alone or cleaning plus a regular or ozonated sunflower oil gel. Researchers measured gum health and inflammation markers after three months to see if the ozone gel offered extra benefits.
