This study took small tissue samples from 16 people with or without inflammatory bowel disease during routine colonoscopies. Researchers grew these samples into mini-organs called organoids in the lab. They then tested how radiation and potential treatments affect these organoids, aiming to develop a screening tool for better therapies.
