Dentist visits for seniors: a new approach using your Doctor's office

NCT ID NCT06555029

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether training medical staff and using electronic health records can encourage older adults (55+) on Medicaid to visit the dentist more often. About 929 participants from 12 primary care clinics will be split into two groups: one where doctors get extra training and use a special checklist, and another where doctors give standard advice. The goal is to see if these changes lead to more dental visits and better oral health over two years.
