First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested a program called OPTIMIZE that helps African American pregnant women get better care during and after pregnancy. Half of the clinics used the program, which included a checklist and a patient navigator, while the other half gave standard care. The goal was to see if the program improved the number of important care steps women received, like prenatal visits, postpartum checkups, and help with social needs. The study involved 548 women and was completed to learn how to best support healthy pregnancies and recoveries.
