First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested a program called OPTIMIZE that uses a checklist and patient navigators to help Black pregnant women get better care during and after pregnancy. About 548 women took part across several clinics. Half the clinics used the program, and half provided standard care. The goal was to see if the program helps women receive more recommended prenatal and postpartum services and address social needs.
