Virtual mentors step in to shield trans youth from harm
NCT ID NCT06587139
Summary
This study tested an online mentoring program designed to prevent serious problems like depression, anxiety, substance use, and violence among transgender and gender minority teens. The program connected 56 youth, aged 14 to 18, with adult mentors from similar backgrounds for seven group sessions to build social and emotional skills. The goal was to see if this supportive connection could help protect young people from common adversities they face.
