New study tests best route for Anti-Nausea drug in sleeve gastrectomy

Summary

This study tests whether giving ondansetron through a vein or near nerves works better to prevent vomiting and pain after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. About 482 adults having this weight-loss surgery will take part. The goal is to find which method provides better relief from nausea and pain in the first day after surgery.
