NCT ID NCT07580079

First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether Anakinra, a drug that reduces inflammation, can prevent dangerous drops in blood sugar after meals in a patient who had his stomach removed. The 52-year-old man also has kidney failure and needs dialysis. Over 10 weeks, he will receive either Anakinra or a placebo during dialysis, and his blood sugar will be tracked continuously. The goal is to see if the drug reduces the severity and frequency of low blood sugar episodes.
