First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether using game-like rewards and personal coaching can encourage older adults to walk more after leaving the hospital. About 350 people aged 50 and older with conditions like high blood pressure or heart failure will wear a Fitbit to track their steps. The goal is to see if these fun incentives help prevent mobility problems and keep people active.
