Exercise your brain: motor training may supercharge language learning

NCT ID NCT03223090

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study explores whether training your motor skills (like hand movements) can also improve your ability to learn a language. The idea is that the brain changes that happen during motor learning might also help with language functions that use the same brain areas. The study will enroll 1,111 healthy adults aged 20-40 who are native French speakers. Participants will undergo motor training and then be tested on language tasks to see if their performance improves.
