Brain training: could motor skills unlock faster language learning?

NCT ID NCT03223090

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study explores whether training your motor skills (like hand movements) can also improve your ability to learn a language. Researchers believe that when the brain changes to learn a new motor skill, it might also boost other functions that use the same brain areas, like language. The study will enroll 1,111 healthy French-speaking adults aged 20-40 to test this idea.
