First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at how long-term marijuana use affects brain inflammation and thinking abilities in people with HIV. Researchers will use brain scans and blood tests to measure changes in brain health. The goal is to understand the effects, not to test a new treatment. About 220 adults with and without HIV, who either use marijuana or don't, will take part.
