NCT ID NCT00243633
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special ultrasound with contrast dye (CEUS) can accurately identify liver lesions found on regular ultrasound. Researchers compared CEUS to CT, MRI, and biopsy in 878 people. The goal was to see if CEUS could provide a reliable, non-invasive, and cheaper way to diagnose liver cancer or cirrhosis, avoiding unnecessary procedures.
