First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested whether special X-ray and MRI scans of the bone beneath the knee joint can predict if osteoarthritis will get worse over 3 years. Researchers followed 167 people with knee arthritis, using imaging and bone texture analysis to track changes. The goal is to better identify patients whose disease is likely to progress, so they can be selected for future treatment trials.
