First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether special imaging techniques can predict how knee osteoarthritis will get worse over three years. Researchers used MRI, X-rays, and bone texture analysis to examine the bone beneath the cartilage in 167 people with knee osteoarthritis. The goal was to identify those at high risk for progression, which could help select patients for future clinical trials of new treatments.
