NCT ID NCT07479602
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether a nose spray containing two medicines (dexmedetomidine and esketamine) can reduce pain in children aged 3-7 after tonsil and adenoid surgery. About 160 children will receive either the spray or a placebo, and their pain will be tracked for 48 hours. The goal is to find a safer, easier way to manage post-surgery pain without needles or strong side effects.
