Researchers test if intentions lead to action in health study

NCT ID NCT07222774

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether asking people about their plans to do a health behavior, like getting a flu shot, actually makes them more likely to do it. About 350 participants are randomly assigned to groups that either state their intentions or not, and then researchers follow up to see if they followed through. The goal is to understand how intentions influence behavior, not to provide any treatment.
