First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at whether eating a whole-food, plant-based diet for 8 weeks could lower markers of cancer and inflammation in firefighters. 121 active firefighters participated. Researchers measured changes in blood markers like IL-6 and C-reactive protein to see if the diet made a difference compared to their usual eating habits.
