This study looked at whether eating a whole-food, plant-based diet could help lower markers linked to cancer and inflammation in firefighters. 121 active firefighters took part, with one group eating plant-based foods and the other sticking to their usual diet. Researchers measured changes in blood markers like IL-6 and C-reactive protein over 8 weeks to see if the diet made a difference.
