Supercharged immune cells take on deadly brain tumors

NCT ID NCT03389230

First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This early-phase trial tests whether specially engineered immune cells (T cells) can safely target and kill recurrent malignant glioma, an aggressive brain cancer. About 29 patients will receive these cells to find the best dose and check for side effects. The goal is to control the disease, not cure it, as ongoing management is expected.
