Summary
This study is testing whether offering routine heart ultrasound scans to nursing home residents helps catch heart problems early and reduces emergency hospital visits. Researchers will compare nursing homes that offer the scans to those that provide usual care, tracking how many residents experience heart failure flare-ups or unplanned hospital stays over one year. The goal is to see if this screening approach is practical and effective for this vulnerable population.
