First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looks at why many people with heart failure also lose muscle mass and strength, a condition called sarcopenia. Researchers will measure muscle mass, walking speed, and grip strength, and analyze blood samples from 80 participants aged 50 and older. The goal is to find better ways to detect and manage this muscle loss early, which could improve quality of life and reduce hospital visits.
