NCT ID NCT07160530

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests a program called "Healthy Children, Healthy Communities" to see if it helps children ages 3 to 5 in rural family childcare homes eat more fruits and vegetables. About 120 childcare providers and 240 children will take part. Providers in the program group get online training and coaching on healthy mealtime practices, while a comparison group covers general childcare topics. Researchers will measure children's eating habits, height, weight, and fruit/vegetable intake using a skin scanner.
