First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether a program called 'Healthy Children, Healthy Communities' helps children ages 3 to 5 in rural family childcare homes eat more fruits and vegetables. About 120 childcare providers and 240 children will take part. Providers in the program group get online training and coaching on healthy mealtime practices, while a comparison group takes general childcare courses. Researchers will measure kids' eating habits, height, weight, and use a skin scanner to check fruit and vegetable intake.
