First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether gum disease can increase the risk of a heart attack. Researchers will compare the gum health of 320 people—some who recently had a heart attack and some who haven't—to see if gum disease is more common in heart attack patients. The goal is to understand if treating gum disease could help prevent future heart attacks.
